I used to make pizza's on English muffins. Throw on some sauce, cheese, and throw it into the toaster oven. It's a quick meal. And then everyone else started doing the English muffin-pizza idea, and what I thought was a "good idea" everyone else thought it was a "good idea" too, so it wasn't that much of an original idea.

I've never tried a grilled pizza before. I should.

I'm back home since yesterday. Eventually I didn't get to read much at all. I mostly watched movies and TV. I did read a few first pages of The Lovely Bones, but I was to distracted to actually get into it. So I'll have to get back to it sometime when I'm more concentrated.

I have "The Lovely Bones" and have heard SO much about it, from the librarians and through word of mouth. But I haven't gotten around to actually reading it. I hear it's a great read. Very well written too.

Hi, just stumpled on your blog through browsing some other blogs.

Noticed that you picked up "The Lovely Bones". I've read it and think it is very well written. But mind you that it is a sad story, sad book, which I don't think it's suited for people staying in hospital. It could easily bring you down to a bad mood. I wouldn't have read it if I'd known how it would make me feel.

I have a Nikon D80 that I purchased 2 months ago and it's an amazing camera for that person really trying to go that extra step in photography. I also utilize Lightroom all the way. Hands down!

Whom would you advice me to hire to make a website here on the island?

I am doing some research and I think it is indeed imperative to have professionals do job for you. But i am a bit taken aback with the price difference companies have, I get to hear that some are charging too much for stuff they can get for free and they are charging thousands and thousands of guilders to program them and teach you how to use it. If you have some time could you enlighten me please? And if you don't thank you for the information you have given me. Have a lovely day....

I was wondering why the lack of updates on your site and it was not until I typed in the actual url again that I noticed the complete overhaul. The site looks great. I eventually gave up on Simplelog and went with Tumblr instead.

We have been developing our php framework inhouse since last year but recently gave a look at MVC frameworks available, cakePHP and codeIgnitor were shortlisted.

No doubt codeIgnitor was easier to start with but in multi team environment strict naming conventions are must which cakePHP enforces.

Also have different developed open source systems on cakePhp, even Mambo has announced their next version will be on CakePHP.

They also run MIRC channel and community there is very helpful. Infact they passed useful links to us that helped us getting start quickly.

I use Codeigniter.

The code feels to me to be very clean and easy. It's fast and the best thing is the documentation. Learning curve is very smooth.

I've tried to read up on CakePHP, and am very impressed with the Rail-style of automagic. 2 things though about it that I don't appreciate(yet): 1) Having to declare variables that the framework needs. That, to me, feels a little counter-intuitive. Now I have to do something to suit the framework. Not that big an issue, just something that annoys me. 2) Documentation. Not that it's terrible. But have a look at the Codeigniter's one, and compare.

I finally got around to fix support for IE, should be working fine now.

As for the on/off box it depends on the browsers width set by user where the box will show up. And as for whitespace, ditto, most users (inlcuding me) don't run the web browser at full screen mode(except when coding), I have a 19inch widescreen so that would be overkill :-) That's why the 1024 width for the design.

Looking nice! Maybe you could make the background pattern and the header/footer full width? Lot of whitespace on a high res :).

(p.s. The on/off switch doesn't work properly in FF on windows, can't reach the off switch once on is clicked. Also, in IE7 the tabs on the right aren't attached to the main column, and there's no on/off at all)

Same same ... i have the same problem. Open photoshop try to make a nice design but with no succes. Maybe somebody else could like the design, but not good enough for myself.
